1. About these terms

These terms apply when you play Water Sort ("the game"), developed and published by Portal Design Studio ("we", "us"). They cover the web version at water-sort-cats.netlify.app and the Android app. By playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't play.

How we handle information is explained separately in our Privacy Policy.

2. The game

Water Sort is free to play. We work to keep it running well, but we may change, add or remove levels, features, rewards or balance at any time, and we may pause or stop offering the game. Because it is a free game with nothing to buy, we cannot promise it will always be available or free of bugs.

3. Your licence to play

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play Water Sort for your own non-commercial enjoyment. You agree not to:

• copy, sell, rent, redistribute or re-host the game or any part of it;
• reverse-engineer it or take its art, music or code for use elsewhere, except where the law expressly allows it;
• use it in a way that breaks the law or harms other people.

We may end this licence if you break these terms. You can end it at any time by uninstalling the game or simply not playing.

4. Coins, stars and other items

The game has in-game items: coins, lives, stars, items from reward chests, and unlockable bottles, themes and cats. You earn them only by playing. The current version has no real-money purchases — nothing in the game can be bought with money.

• In-game items have no real-world value. They cannot be exchanged for money, sold, or transferred to another player or device.
• They are part of the game, not your property. We may adjust how they are earned, what they cost in the game, or what they unlock.
• If the game ever offers anything for real money, those purchases will be explained at the time and these terms will be updated first.

5. Your progress

Your progress is saved only on your device — there is no account or online backup. If you clear the game's data or your browser's site data, uninstall the app, reset or lose your device, or switch to another device or browser, your progress will be lost. We cannot see or restore it.

6. Advertising

Some features offer an ad in exchange for a reward. In the current version these are short placeholders, not real ads. If real ads are added later, they will come from third-party ad providers. We'll choose providers with care, but we don't control the content of individual ads and are not responsible for third-party products they promote. Our Privacy Policy will be updated before any such change.

7. Ownership

The game — its name, artwork, characters, music, sound, text and code — belongs to Portal Design Studio or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. These terms give you a licence to play the game. They don't give you ownership of any part of it.

8. Stores and other services

If you get the Android app from Google Play, Google's terms also apply to that download, and Google is not responsible for the game itself. The game and this website may link to other sites; we don't control those and are not responsible for their content.

9. No guarantees

Water Sort is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for any particular purpose.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

10. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Portal Design Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the loss of game progress or in-game items, arising from your use of the game.

We do not exclude or limit liability where that would be unlawful — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for harm caused intentionally or through gross negligence.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the game gains new features. We'll change the "last updated" date at the top, and for significant changes we'll make them clear here before they apply. If you keep playing after an update, the new terms apply.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. If you live in the European Union or elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country.
